a special moment

I spent summer solstice at my allotment garden. The day was so long and the night was but a hint of twilight. When I was heading home I heard a nightingale sing among the blackthorn brambles. The bird was very kind and let me make a good recording. I am so happy that he is back, after being away from this place for 10 years. Of course nt the same bird…

Its a very peculiar tune he sings, quite like a synthetic sound. I am looking forward to add this enchanting element to one of my future projects.

The bliss of ego death

Leave everything you thought about reality to be dissolved and reinvented while you let this fractal flying carpet take you on a ride into the infinite.

Sonic landscape paintings made with textures and structures woven by a plethora of musical devices, strange recordings from the quantum fiend of existence and floating islands of percussion. A free hand sonic painting.. stories whispered in words that the tongue has never spoken, tales of the ineffable.

Soon to be released….

Fractal similarities

Sounds from different species of animals are said to have fractal similarities. If the song of the gibbon is transposed a few octaves up it becomes bird song. If it played slow it reminds of the song of whales. I tried this on my Nord Lead 3 once, when I synthesised sounds that was very much like bird song they started to sound like crickets pitched up even more. And in a low key with some filter the song of frogs appeared. It was very interesting. They flow in time is different, yet they seem to share a pattern, like the shape of a tree is visible in a branch, and a similar pattern is visible in our lungs. As I am writing this, I sit silent for a while, waiting for new thought to gather. There is a faint humming from my computer melding together with a noise from my monitors. It reminds me of the humming of my nervous system. Its very fascinating that there are patterns interconnecting all living creatures, and even the things they create, interwoven multidimensinal aspects of sound, art, geometry…

Reflections, frozen, crystallized…

Exploring a garden of fractal delight..

, When I started with these tracks I did not quite know were it would take me…my starting point was to create something! (I have that in a sample… This is why God create d a free will… the most brilliant manoeuvre to create… SOMETHING! )

Letting it develop organically, explore what it would take me. Oh what an exploration into sonic strangeness it had been! I have loved every bit of it every step… The songs are more like a map over the psychedelic mystery that I have drawn from my own experiences that a specific genre. I imagine this as being a wild woodland garden of sounds and textures.

What happens if I bend it?

What I believe is most inspiring about art is that it gives us an opportunity to bend reality, creating new worlds of imagination, maybe just for the fun of it, adventure of exploration… or as a means of making the invisible visible. Or making the visible visible.

As an artist it’s my vision, my mission, to explore this question, again and again, maybe not to be answered but rather to be unraveled, explored, and as an artist I have the privilege to transcend the confines of my perceived identity in the pursuit.

In this blog I will share my adventures in multidimensional creative space…
